Skarbiec - Bogusław Grabowski

Graduate of the University of Łódź, where he finished studies in econometrics and statistics. In 1991 he also graduated from economic studies at the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. In 1993 he obtained the title of doctor of economic sciences. Since 1985 he has been working at the Faculty of Economy of the University of Łódź, currently as an assistant professor. From 1988 to 1989 he completed scientific and research trainings at the Department of Economic Analyses and Forecasts of the National Bank of Poland and at the University of Sussex, Great Britain. He participated in many research programs and is also the author of studies about monetary policy, banking system and balance of payment theory, published in Poland and abroad. In his scientific work he concentrates on the theory of macroeconomy, monetary policy and balance of payments.
From 1989 to 1990 he worked at Powszechny Bank Gospodarczy as a chief specialist in the economic department. Then - until 1992 – he was an advisor of the president of LG Petro Bank S.A. In 1993 he was the Vice-voivod of Łódź. He was responsible for economic matters and was also a member of the Interdepartmental Team for the Łódź Region Restructuring and the author of the Łódź Region Restructuring Program. From 1993 to 1997 – vice-president and president of the management board of Petrobank S.A. From 1998 to 2004 he was a member of the Monetary Policy Council of the National Bank of Poland.
He has been working for the Skarbiec holding since 2004. From March 2004 to February 2006 he performed duties of management board’s president of Skarbiec-Emerytura. Presently, as the management board’s president of SAMH S.A., he is responsible for strategic decisions concerning the entire holding.
His hobby is mountaineering and cycling.
